19 weeks!

I am 19 weeks today!

We find out what we are having in one week! November 15:)

I have been eating a lot of cheez-it's and chips! Bad bad momma

I am still napping with Laney. I skipped nap today so I could hang out with Jenny and I am so glad I did but I started feeling sick around 6:30. I don't think I will skip nap everyday but sometimes I will:)

I can feel baby move:) he/she moves quite a bit!

Laney calls the baby's room the owls room. She has an owl pillow she plays with but I'm not sure why it's his room:p BUT it gave me the idea of doing a cute little woodland animal theme! It would work for a boy or girl. I would do it differently depending on the sex but I really love the idea!

We are keeping names a secret:) I take my family's opinions VERY seriously so I would rather not know if they hate the names I love!

Sleeping is still comfortable even though I'm not supposed to be on my back I wake up that way a lot!

Most parts of my body are growing but one part has grown three cup sizes *ahem* they are awesome:) I wish they would stay this way forever! One day they will ;)

I Voted!!

I voted today:) I stood in line for a little over an hour but I had Jenny and Laney there to keep me distracted:) I am having trouble concentrating right now! I am watching the news and it is so close its killing me!!! I remember watching the election back when George W. Bush was elected. My parents traced out the United States on a poster board and we colored in the states as we found out:) For some reason I remember watching it on our tv in the kitchen....It was a big tv that was built into the wall (coolest thing EVER).

WOO HOO!! I was a little sleepy today and you can tell!

I made another ornament for the advent calender:) I really like this one. Drawing a stocking is a pain in the ass I ended up tracing one from a book and it still looks a little odd. This was also my first time doing the blanket stitch which I am pleased with:) I started on the top right side (obviously) but I got better towards the end!

I am so tired but I feel like I should wait and find out who the President is! I don't think I can:/

November 5

It is the 5th day of NaBloPoMo:) Ciara and I have not missed a post yet:) I am very proud of us. Tomorrow is election day!!! I just found out that I am registered and where to go so it turns out I am voting! I was feeling pretty bad that I wasn't going to. My hubs is registered too so I am going to make him go:) I have kept who I am voting for off of everything! I dont 'like' any of the stuff on Facebook that pops up and I am not going to make status's to shove it in your face. Their are always going to be democrats and their are always going to be republicans so deal with it! Too much.....should I stop?.......OK.

 Last Christmas I started making ornaments for an advent calender for Laney but I only made like four of them. So I am starting really early to make sure I get them done! Last night I made her a snowflake:)



It was very simple I got the idea from a book I took from my moms house:) It has stuffing in it so it is fluffy!

 I cut out these gorgeous leaves from my Silhouette today:) I LOVE that thing!

I made this pine cone with my Silhouette too! I want to make more of these for sure! I didn't have any pliers so that wire looks realy odd just ignore that part :p

I think I replaced my exclamation point addiction with a smiley face addiction :/

I am trying to get Laney on an earlier bedtime schedule. She was pushing 10:00 some nights! Then she wouldn't wake up until 10. I love that my girl sleeps for 12 hours at night BUT 10pm is way too late for a two year old and waking up at 10am barely gives us a day with dad when he is home in the morning! SO daylight savings has helped a lot but I just put her down 25 mins ago and I thought she was asleep. nope. I can hear her talking now ha! Hopefully she will go to sleep soon. She wont get out of her bed which is AWESOME!

How I potty trained:)

For today's post I thought I would talk about how I potty trained Laney. Before i started training I read a post on Pinterest about potty training and it gave me some new perspective on training. Hopefully this will help someone! I am NO expert! This is just what worked for Laney.

I started potty training on a Monday, I took her diaper off right when she woke up but we didn't talk about it. I have found when I say stuff like "let's take off your diaper" she would say no and make a big deal about it. If I just did it she was totally fine. (This is just how Lane works your child could be completely different) I kept her pants off all day. I might do it differently next time because when they have an accident when naked it goes on the floor but when they have undies and pants on it soaks up in the pants and is more uncomfortable for them so they won't want it to happen again!

I didn't ask her If she had to go potty . Not once! It was so hard but I watched her like a hawk the whole day and she went a teeny bit and ran up to me so I sat her on her little potty and she went! She held it until 1pm it was crazy. Then it was nap time so i put a diaper on her and took it off right when she woke up. The only other time she peed that day was on the floor:/ Accidents are going to happen quite a bit the first week and its very discouraging but do not let them know that you are getting frustrated. Once we started using the big potty with the adapter she was much more excited. By the end of the week she was telling me she had to go! We went to Chicago a few weeks ago and we did have some accidents then but since then we have been accident free! It takes patience and persistence. The only time I put a diaper on her was nap time and bedtime. We didn't leave the house much that week and when we did I kept her in undies. She never had an accident outside the house, but I kept the little potty in the car just in case she needed it.

I hope this helps somebody! It might not work for everyone but this is what worked for us!

Saturday Randoms

I like doing the randoms posts:) Sometimes I just have lots of thoughts and not a whole post to write them about:)

• I can feel this baby kicking! It feels totally different than Laney. Its not like the flutters its real kicks its crazy.
• My grandma got me a delicious candle from Bath and Body Works. I am obsessed with it. I have the fresh balsam and she has the winter night. YUM Winter Night smells like a gum drop. I just looked at the website and I want all of the candles. Especially the Peppermint!!

• My sister downloaded my Silhouette back on my computer and I have been buying every Christmas related cut out they have! Yikes im addicted! 
• Laney is so excited for Christmas. We go to Menards just to hang out in their Christmas section, they have it set up so cool with the lights dim and all the trees are light up. We call it the winter wonderland:p We went to Target today to check out how their winter wonderland was and they have super cute ornaments but all of the trees are up on tables so it wasn't as whimsical:)

• This is all set up inside the store so its warm! Its hard for me to enjoy doing outdoor things in the winter because I am a huge baby when it comes to being cold!! Jenny bought me some hand warmers last year for Christmas so they should help this year! 
• I feel like this post is ending up to be all about Christmas.....i'm totally fine with that
• Psych season six is on Netflix. I highly recommend it!

Halloween Decor

I realize we are now in November but I never posted my decorations this year for Halloween! Now I am second guessing myself!! I hope I havent posted these already! If I have sorry for the repeating myself. (I have been playing games working on my memory :p obviously it needs work)

This is my spider web!! I never got around to making a spider to go with it! Lame... It made a fun background for my pictures this past month:) I will be sad to see him go

This project was a lot of fun! I bought the frames at the dollar store, painted them orange and since we had to get a new hardrive for our computer I didn't have my silhouette downloaded on the computer and had to cut all of these guys out by hand. So old fashioned of me.

I found the idea for the garland from MADE. She is pretty fantastic! I hope you enjoyed my decorations. It wasn't much but I really love them:)

Halloween!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Halloween! We had such a fun time. It was the first Halloween that Laney got to spend with her dad:) 
On Saturday we went to Zoo Boo. Laney wasn't feeling well but we still had a good time. She has been begging to ride a carasoul, when she saw it at the zoo she bent down and started clapping her hands it was so damn cute to see her so excited:)

She was so done by the time we were trying to leave I had to carry her all the way in a fluffy costume and she refused to hold on so my mom tied her scarf around us like a sling. It helped but I was too afraid of ripping her scarf!!

All of the pictures are from my iPhone and are super crappy but I still love them!!

I was trying to take a picture of her with her pumpkin she painted but she kept creeping further and further up the stairs ha! We are painting our kitchen so it is primed right now it usually doesn't look like that!

I made her a pumpkin shaped honey and peanut butter sandwich ) it doesn't really look like a pumpkin....maybe and apple?

FREAKING OUT about all the loot dad brought home to pass out!

Caleb had been at work all day and finally got home a little after six and put his Steve costume on and was ready to go! He is such a good dad:) I know he was wiped out from the day and his cold but he didn't complain he was so happy to be with Laney on Halloween!

OYE! I love these two people so much!!!

Girl held her daddy's hand the whole time. I was..... ya know dancing and singing embarrassing Halloween songs in front of them the whole time hahaha! Poor Laney and Caleb. In my defense their were not people around when I sang!
