Happy Accident

Two years ago today I found out I was pregnant with Miss. Lane:) We did not plan to get pregnant but it was the best accident that has EVER happened to me! I wish I would have known that while I was pregnant but you just don't know how amazing it will be until they get here:)

I was so scared while I was pregnant about what my life would be like after she arrived. Their is so much unknown and people didn't like to tell me anything positive.

I seriously thought my life would be over.
That my relationships would fail.
That we would never be happy because we would be struggling all the time.

Then she was born, and I have never been happier.
I am happier with my self, with my husband, with my family.
I couldnt have been more wrong!

My life inst over it feels like it just began, like it has purpose.
Alright im done being sappy you get it. i love my family

randomness

:) :) :) I am so happy today:) I am just having one of those days where I feel so grateful for everything that I have! I don't feel like I am lacking anything or that I need anything, I have more than enough! I have a wonderful family and I have a home and my furniture inst too shabby either. I mean none of it is new but I still have it! I just feel lucky and I love it! I wish I could feel this way everyday. I did just start prozac so maybe I will!

My sister Jenny graduated from nursing school on Saturday and I couldn't be more proud of her! She is the first person on my moms side of the family to graduate from college. So its kind of a huge deal:)

We had her open house on Saturday as well which turned out really well. It was so nice to see all of our friends and family. Laney had a great time seeing everyone in one place too. Although I think she was a wee bit overstimulated :p

A couple of weeks ago I cleaned out my sewing/crafting area and I forgot to post pictures!! Its horrible I am pretty embarrassed about the before pictures

HIJACKED!!!

Hello! Its Jenny, Katys older sister, and I've hijacked her blog. :)

Katy and I often joke that I am her "brain."  I have an insane ability to remember EVERYTHING.  I don't do it on purpose.  I just remember everything!!

I am going to elaborate on the things that Miss. Laney is doing at 15 months.  Things only I would remember!!

Laney:

• you will repeat every single word we say. So no more cuss words around you! 
• You love watching Aunt Maddy sing, and will walk over to the computer and ask to watch her on youtube!
• You also love to watch this video of you saying banana
• You love holding hands.  You will say "han?" and reach up to hold our hands.  If you are holding my hand and mommy walks up next to us (or vice versa) you will reach up and ask to hold mommys hand then pull your legs up a big and say "twoooo, treeeee!!!" which means you want us to lift you up by your hands.
• When we drive you like to make sure we are still in the car.  You are still rear facing in your car seat and therefore you can't see us, so you will say "Juju?" and wait for me to say "yes baby, I'm here" then you will say "mommy?" and you wait for her response!
• Sometimes you call me "mommyjuju" not going to lie, I love that you love me enough that you get me confused with your beautiful mommy sometimes :)
• Today you asked for me to breastfeed you when your mommy was gone.  I know you were just hungry and tired, but it was hilarious!!
• I bought you these $3.00 purple flip flops from target this summer and you are OBSESSED with them! You love shoes of all kinds but these shoes are your absolute favorites.  You once wore them for over 24 hours, you slept through the night in them, and took a few showers in them! Gosh I love your little personality. 
• You have 8 teeth.  They are very random, 4 front top ones, two front bottom ones, one upper left molar and one bottom right molar.  You are still teething like CRAZY and I know we will all be happy when those suckers are in!  
• You are so good at using a fork and spoon. You can eat anything, tonight you ate rice off of a spoon! 
• You can name a lot of different parts of your body, ear, hair, hands, nose, eyes, toes, booty, tongue
• There is so much I could write! But i feel like this is long enough :) Maybe I should make hijacking a weekly thing that way I can just write the adorable things Laney does that I remember!!!

15 months!

My Laney-poo is 15 months!! This whole her getting older thing is getting easier now that she is over 1, I had no idea what it would be like but I felt like OH MY GOD SHE KEEPS GETTING CLOSER TO ONE AND THEN SHE WONT BE A BABY ANYMORE MY LIFE WILL BE OVER. but that didn't happen thank goodness......its actually more fun now because we communicate and play. Don't get me wrong i love the snuggly smooshy baby, but I really enjoy my toddler!

Miss Laney-

• you wear size 4 diaper
• 12 month clothes (but you can still fit into nine month onsies :p)
• I am not sure of your height and weight since we have not been to the dr. but you are definitely taller! you can reach on top of the tables now SCARY! and you are probably 22 lbs
• you say almost everything the only thing you refuse to say is I love you......i know you are saving it for the perfect moment when I am all sad and down and you just spring it on me right?? i thought so
• one of my favorite things you say is "whats up" hehehe 
• your favorite animal noise is "neigh" and your favorite body part is your ear oh and my nose ring hehe
• when you say yogurt it sounds like a very very bad word that starts with n.........lets work on that one and not when we are grocery shopping please!
• i know I am missing things that I want to remember because that happens when im actually here to write them out! you are the most perfect baby and you are so beautiful!
