6 years with my love!

Caleb and I have been married for 6 years today, and together 8! Our relationship has grown so much since those first days and years! We continue to grow and learn from each other every day:) I thought it would be fun to go on a walk down memory lane:)
2009 When we first met and I was over-tanned and we were both over bleached! Just kidding I loved my hair!

These two baby nuggets got pregnant in that same year!
We were blessed with our baby girl in 2010!

July 9, 2011 we got married!

This is a HORRIBLE picture but the only one I could find from 2012!! Where are my eyelashes and why is your eye sliding off of your face...

In 2013 we welcomed our Soy Soy!!! Sweet, sweet nugget!
Sawyers first birthday. March 27, 2014. Little did I know I was pregnant with Atticus here:)
Atticus was born at the end of 2014 and this is Fall of 2015!
2016-Daddy looking fine as hell! We went on our honeymoon for our 5th wedding anniversary! I think we will go on another long one for our 10th:) At this point in our lives I cannot be away from the kids that long! It damn near killed me!

2017 at my sweet Audrey's wedding! Me eating Caleb's face...wearing my favorite dress in the whole wide world! Its from Express and apparently they cant keep it in stock so go, run, NOW and buy it.

Every year gets better and better, and you get more handsome every day! Age looks good on you babe;)

Happy Anniversary to you, my stinky man-man! I love you!
Love,
Kate

Baby Girls MC

Hello again!
I am pleasantly surprised at how well I am doing on a broken up sleep pattern:) Lets just say the first 3 months of Laneys life I slept....all day everyday. I was miserable. I had to have some sort of iron deficiancy or something becuase I could NOT stay awake and my skin was kind of grayish and pale it was gross. BUT I am feeling much better this time around. Still sleepy but I can function pretty well:)
So the first week of Sawyers life was crazy. I made an appt for Laney to see the derm the day after my due date. I am brilliant I know. So Sawyer is a week old, everyone is adjusting, and on this particular day Laney was extra clingy to mama and did not want to go to the dr. Turns out she did have Mollescum contagism. Basically little warts that covered her torso, arms and hips. To try to keep her relaxed I told her "we are just going to talk we dont have to do anything we are not comfortable with" well that ended up being a lie. Her derm gave us 2 options 1. a very expensive cream that they were sure her insurance didnt cover or 2. this liquid that they put on in the office and the warts will scab up and fall off and will be gone in a week. oh and its "painless"

So we opted for number two. I had to hold her down while they put this stuff on each individual bump. She had over a hundred. It was awful. I held it together and somehow didnt lose my shit and start crying with her. Which Caleb and I still arnt sure how I did that. They told me wash it off in two to three hours. Ok easy enough.

So we went home and took a nap. I set my phone alarm for exactly three hours after they put it on and I was going to wake her up and bathe her. No joke 2 mins before my alarm went off I hear her wake up and start screaming!!! I ran in there and she is holding up her arms screaming. I ripped off our clothes and jumped in the bath and tried to rinse her off as best as I could while she was clinging to me. After about ten mins in the bath of me just pouring water on her body, she stopped screaming and we got out. Thank the lord Sawyer slept through this whole thing. My mom came over and we read the paper and it said to use soap to make sure you get all of the stuff off. So back in the shower we went and I had to wash the warts that were burning her. I didnt let her know but I was sobbing the whole time. It was so hard to cause her pain.

She stayed stuck to me for about an hour then we decided we should get some clothes on. I took her into her room sat her down and stool and took her towel off to find over a hundred blisters covering her body. It. Was. Awful. I cried again. Give me a break I had just had a baby :P

I had to lift her up by her hands to get her on the potty and on the bed. She shook every time she tried to move. I got her propped up in my bed with pillows for her arms so they wouldn't touch her sides. All I kept thinking was in a week this will be better and she will be happy. So needless to say we didnt get much sleep that night.
All propped up in bed. She refuses to wear that yellow shirt anymore! haha bad memories I guess

The next day she was feeling so much better! The whole day the blisters were popping under her clothes which was good becuase blisters are painful but once they are popped they dont hurt! So we took her to the park and played.  Everyday after that got better and better. But boy that first day was very sad. Now they are all healed and she no longer has any one her torso but still has a few on her legs!! grrrr I think they may be going away on their own though...hopefully!
The next morning!! SO much better! That is her homemade cranberry juice popsicle:)

I do not recommend this treatment to children. I think It would work fine on an adult or older child who understands what is going to happen and who only have like 10 or less not 100+!!

That whole night I just kept thinking about all the mommas who have sick babies or babies in pain and I just cant imagaine the pain those mommas feel. You are all strong women. It is so incredibly hard to see your children like that.

Have a healthy Monday!

New look

So?! What do you think? I made some changes on my blog:) I got a new background and changed some things on the side bar. Also if you want to get an email notifying you that I posted you can put your email in  right up there ^. It is kind of hard to see but its right above where it says Wednesday January 16, 2013. Just put your email in, submit and it will send you an email confirming and just click on the link it tells you to!

I was going to do my 29 weeks post today but I forgot to have Caleb take pictures!

Lane and I planted some forget me nots today. It was the favor from my wedding a year and  half ago:) Do seeds stay good that long? We will find out! I finally took pictures with my camera instead of my phone and then I couldn't find the cord to upload them! arrg so I took pictures with my phone of the screen on my camera so they look like crap! I tried editing them (my hubs will be so proud) to try and make them look the best they could but I don't know how well I did:/
SUPA FUZZY This was the little kit, a soil pellet some seeds and a flower pot that Jen and I spray painted

She did so well pouring the water in.

mixed it with a toothpick
It was still too dry so we added more water
I planted the seeds since she lost interest after the water and mixing was done. She just wanted to pour more water in things and stir them up so her and dad made "milky shakes". Not really, just pretend.
I hung it on the back door because no where else gets much light! There was also no where else to put it where little fingers wouldn't try to play with it:) It says 7.9.11 under the yarn. They also were used as place cards at my wedding:) It was one of my favorite parts.

I hope you enjoy the new look to my blog! I have a few more changes I want to make and please tell me if anything is hard to read!

Have an outstanding night!

My best girl

My sweet little stinker is two and half! Her half birthday was on December 30. We didn't do anything special, I wanted to get a little cake for her but didn't end up getting one.

Some of the pictures I posted on IG but I had to share them here too!
Cutest kid ever.

baby brothers new crib. She loves it. "Can we go look at baby broders crib"

watercolors on her easel that Nonna got her. "can i be an artist?' translates to "can I paint?"

asdlfkjasodifjlk love this outfit. It was super comfy too! Her Grandpa and Me-Me got it for her in Arizona at Lucky! SO CUTE! She picked out the shoes. Girl has style

Playing sleepy sleeps in the crib while I got ready:) Silly girl

Stuff I don't want to forget
  • You are 35 inches tall
  • You love all of the snacky foods I love:) Salt and vinegar chips, pretzels, popcorn, soft pretzels. Mom is so proud :p It makes the pregnancy snacking easier when I have someone to share with.
  • (putting you to bed)
    L: "Momma?"
    Me: "yes baby"
    L: you whisper "good-night"
    Me: "good-night baby"
    L: "Momma?"
    Me: "yes baby"
L: you whisper "i love you"
Me: "i love you too sweetie"
OYE!!!! I love it!! she started doing it with daddy too!
  • If anyone asks you are not two you are a girly
  • We have had some attitude issues lately. Screaming, demanding things, ya know two year old stuff. BUT I have been persistent and following through and she is acting so much better! I hate when I feel like all I am doing is correcting her behavior but it is paying off.
  • You LOVE all of your toys you got for Christmas!
  • She named her little tikes car rojo.

I love you stink bug!

Have a super Monday Night!

Santas workshop

For the past few weeks Laney has been talking about Santa's workshop. We haven't been anywhere to see a workshop but I think they mention it in one of her Christmas shows. Yesterday after Caleb got home from work he told me he wanted to do something fun today so I thought why not make a "workshop" here! I planned it out this morning before nap and right when I put her down I put it all together. I wanted it to be a complete surprise for her:)

I pushed our table against the corner so we could make an "igloo" underneath. Another thing she has been talking about lately.

I wrapped her blocks so she could open them:) She doesn't care what is in it she just likes to unwrap gifts:)

Marshmallow snacks of course

I cut up little pieces of paper for her to glue on the tree. And a tiny hammer for building toys of course!
Her igloo:)

The black ribbon on the lamp is so Caleb wont bump his head:) We had the table moved for a while and he kept hitting his head.
coloring her picture.

We stayed in our jammies all day:)

I wanted something little to put her crayons in so I cut two solo cups hahaha a wee bit jankdy

Marshmallow snack!

working hard opening those blocks

playing with her "gifts"

Caleb had the great idea to put lights in her igloo! It is such a fun little cozy spot.

We had Christmas music on and ended the night with some no bake cookies. It was a wonderful christmasy filled night:) I love making these memories for my family:)

Have a jolly Tuesday night
