Mucho better

I feel so much better today! I am awake and alert! Laney and I have already done so much. We went to wal-mart this morning to get some more of our house keys made, we looked at some toys too that I think Santa might bring:)

We got the house cleaned and the floors swept. Well I did that. AND finished one of my Christmas projects I have been working on!

I started this post earlier:) Now it is almost nine and I have finished two projects!!! yaaay I feel so good about what I got done today!

 This is the "angel" I made Laney yesterday that I think looks like a monster hehe its the smile, it looks like she has monster teeth

 This little tree has taken me forever to finish! I don't like the color of the green balls in this picture. I don't love it as much as I thought I would. I think if I did it again I would use the same size bals or maybe just not the larger ones. It looks a little lumpy. I love my advent calender back there though:)

 I made this tree skirt tonight!!! Dont mind the tinsel hanging down on it. This project was free!! Thank goodness I spent a lot of money on felt last year and did nothing with it :p I just cut out a circle of red felt then lined it up on the white and cut around it to make border and hot glued them together. this photo makes it look pretty lumpy and not symmetrical but it looks better in person :) I cut the top circle too big so I added a white circle so you couldn't see the base

La tree is up

I found our base for a real tree today and did some serious work to get it to fit our fake tree:) 

 We had to move the furniture all around to find a spot to put the tree:) I like what we finally decided on. That is NOT our tree skirt it is just the fabric I will be making the skirt out of. You can tell someone was playing with the tree, their are a few ornaments plucked from the tree:)

I made two more ornaments for Laneys advent calender! I am not crazy about the gift. I dont love the colors or the bow but Laney really liked so that is all that matters!! I really love how the candy cane turned out!

I finished Laneys Thanksgiving dress tonight and she LOVES it!! I will post pictures tomorrow once its pressed:)

Yay!

My baby girl is home with me!!!! She got home at noon but ya know I'm still excited! We also had our first snow this morning! It was absolutely beautiful!

Caleb and I cleaned the whole upstairs today while Lane was still at her Oma's. she was so excited when she got home she couldn't stop bouncing haha. It was so cute:) We just hung out the rest of the day just us girls:)

I have five ornaments for the advent calender done and twenty more to go phew! I might make another one tonight but when I am sleepy my work can get sloppy so I might just wait!

Well I am going to put baby girl down:)

I Voted!!

I voted today:) I stood in line for a little over an hour but I had Jenny and Laney there to keep me distracted:) I am having trouble concentrating right now! I am watching the news and it is so close its killing me!!! I remember watching the election back when George W. Bush was elected. My parents traced out the United States on a poster board and we colored in the states as we found out:) For some reason I remember watching it on our tv in the kitchen....It was a big tv that was built into the wall (coolest thing EVER).

WOO HOO!! I was a little sleepy today and you can tell!

I made another ornament for the advent calender:) I really like this one. Drawing a stocking is a pain in the ass I ended up tracing one from a book and it still looks a little odd. This was also my first time doing the blanket stitch which I am pleased with:) I started on the top right side (obviously) but I got better towards the end!

I am so tired but I feel like I should wait and find out who the President is! I don't think I can:/

November 5

It is the 5th day of NaBloPoMo:) Ciara and I have not missed a post yet:) I am very proud of us. Tomorrow is election day!!! I just found out that I am registered and where to go so it turns out I am voting! I was feeling pretty bad that I wasn't going to. My hubs is registered too so I am going to make him go:) I have kept who I am voting for off of everything! I dont 'like' any of the stuff on Facebook that pops up and I am not going to make status's to shove it in your face. Their are always going to be democrats and their are always going to be republicans so deal with it! Too much.....should I stop?.......OK.

 Last Christmas I started making ornaments for an advent calender for Laney but I only made like four of them. So I am starting really early to make sure I get them done! Last night I made her a snowflake:)



It was very simple I got the idea from a book I took from my moms house:) It has stuffing in it so it is fluffy!

 I cut out these gorgeous leaves from my Silhouette today:) I LOVE that thing!

I made this pine cone with my Silhouette too! I want to make more of these for sure! I didn't have any pliers so that wire looks realy odd just ignore that part :p

I think I replaced my exclamation point addiction with a smiley face addiction :/

I am trying to get Laney on an earlier bedtime schedule. She was pushing 10:00 some nights! Then she wouldn't wake up until 10. I love that my girl sleeps for 12 hours at night BUT 10pm is way too late for a two year old and waking up at 10am barely gives us a day with dad when he is home in the morning! SO daylight savings has helped a lot but I just put her down 25 mins ago and I thought she was asleep. nope. I can hear her talking now ha! Hopefully she will go to sleep soon. She wont get out of her bed which is AWESOME!
