17 weeks

I thought I would give a little update on my pregnancy:)

• I am 17 weeks today
• My bump is barely there:) 
• I did not show very fast with Laney, but I did expect to show quicker with this little bugger
• I really really love salt and vinegar chips!! I pretty much want salty, sour, spicy foods all the time
• I have gained 5 lbs since my first appointment. I look like I have gained more than that but the scale keeps staying the same!
• I call it a boy just because its easier than calling it an "IT". I really don't care what we have:) I am just excited to have another baby!
• I cant feel any movements yet. With Laney I didn't feel her move until after 20 weeks. The Dr. said it could be the placement of the placenta. 

BAH! she is just so stinking cute!!! I LOVE HER!!!

Fall Baby!!

FINALLY!!! I have been trying to write this post for like two weeks now! For some reason when I use the laptop it goes super slow and I just haven't had the patience for it!

About two weeks ago we went to the pumpkin patch. It was pretty chilly but we had a great time!

The corn maze was super cute, but their was a school there too so all these little kids were squirming by us, apparently we were too slow!

Me and my girl! It was CRAZY windy so my hair is all over the place, and I thought we were doing tongues s in the second picture hah

This is Laneys pumpkin I thought it looked so perfect still on its vine and the sun was shining right on it. It was so beautiful seeing the bright orange pumpkins in the fields. 

We came home and Laney painted he pumpkin and I carved the big one we got:)

Seriously that pumpkin was so thick!! Carving pumpkins will defiantly be a mommy thing. Caleb did not love the gooey stuff. Carving pumpkins was a huge deal when I was a kid so I have no problem with it being a mommy thing!!!! I roasted the seeds and ate all of them to myself!! I really want more, I might just carve another one for the seeds! Caleb did eat one seed and he liked it he just didn't want anymore

I need to add pictures of my Halloween decor I made this year. I am so excited to Trick or Treat with Laney she is so excited! We practice everyday:)

Monday randoms

It has been a week since we started potty training and she is doing so well! No accidents, no fuss to go potty AND she tells me when she has to go!! It is so damn sweet:) She wears undies all the time, but wears a diaper to nap and night time. She was dry at nap time today! PROGRESS!!! So far I am the only one who has taken her potty only because Caleb worked a lot last week and I am with her all the time. I hope its not another transition for her to let someone else take her. I guess we will see! I am so incredibly proud of her:)


I made chili tonight for dinner, it was amazing besides the fact that I ate a whole bag of salt and vinegar chips to myself at lunch time so my mouth is in pain.....oooppps. I don't know if many people do this but I add cinnamon to all of my soups. It is freaking delicious. I don't add a lot its just a hint but it makes a huge difference.

Can you say YUM?? I love his hair short! This is the first time it has ever been that short since we have been together. He was nervous it would make him look younger but I looooove it!

Its started....

We have started POTTY TRAINING!! We started on Monday and it has gone pretty well.

 We got this chart a while ago from a coloring book about potty training and she LOVES it! We were home all day today which is why she went on the potty every time. Girl has some serious bladder control she holds it until the very last moment. I take her diaper off right when she wakes up and she wont pee until noon or one!!! I don't ask her if she has to go until I can tell she needs to then I suggest we go to the bathroom and she leads the way! I am so proud of her. We started off with her little portable potty but she really didn't like it at all. When I got out the little seat for the toilet she was totally comfortable sitting up there! I was very surprised. We had two accidents today, one was just a teensy bit and the other she straight up peed on the floor ha! It was past bedtime so I think that is why. 

AND Laney has a freshly painted bathroom to start using!!!!
 

This is the bathroom before. I hated the color! That border is awful!!! They painted everything that mint color, the towel bar, the baseboards even the vent in the ceiling. It was quite silly.

 I loooove the purple it is so fun and vibrant. I love color but in my opinion the only acceptable room to paint bright purple is the bathroom:) I am so so so glad we did! We do have a shower curtain but I am washing it and am too lazy to go grab it out of the dryer....Caleb painted the whole bathroom, baseboards, towel bar, vanity, and the mirror:)

 That mirror is my favorite! It was gold and the vanity was dark brown (blech) and we lightened it up and made it all white:) We really want a new vanity and sink but it is not a main priority right now.

The lights under the vanity are my favorite part:) I use the bathroom A LOT at night and I hate turning on the light so my sweet husband installed lights under the sink so:)

Embarrassing Mom

By embarrassing mom I mean myself. I am already embarrassing my daughter, not that she knows it yet. Today we went to Target and I got a pumpkin spice latte {YUM} I went to swipe my card and it didn't work. So I tried to call Caleb...he didn't answer....I checked our online banking and we had plenty of money in there.....I tried calling Jets to get a hold of Caleb and he wasn't there....then the sweet employee at Starbucks bought my latte for me!! I started bawling right away. It was just the sweetest gesture to me. It meant so so so much to me that she did that. Their was no line so she wasn't doing it just to get me out of there. Caleb finally had the chance to answer the phone as I was walking away from the counter thanking this woman in my ugly, squeaking, crying voice. AND I got to walk through Target with tears running down my face trying to stop my pregnant sobbing. If only Laney really knew what was happening she would have been very embarrassed of her over emotional mom :p I gave her lots of kisses to make up for my weirdness.

What I really want to say is more people need to be like that woman! She seriously made my night! My card did end up working I don't know why it didn't work there maybe human error ;)

Let me clarify Caleb was at work so he couldn't answer the phone I am not blaming my mishap on him I just wanted you to get an idea of how long it took me:)

After we left Target Laney and I went to the Hamilton Town Center to go to the candy store!!!

Im back for good!!

I miss this blog! I hate that I havent blogged in so long:( I think about it everyday. We just got our computer fixed so know I can start writing again! I was determined to write today and then my friend Jennifer texted me and said she missed the  blog! It was the perfect kick in the butt to start writing again. Jennifer and I used to be neighbors and now we live 30 mins or more away which really isnt that bad but I am used to seeing her almost everyday! This way she can keep up with what is going on with me:)

I am sure all of you know since all of my readers are my facebook friends buuuuuuut.......

We are so so happy!! I will be 12 weeks on Wednesday and we are due April 3!
We were going to wait until this Wednesday to tell the news but we were too excited! Weeks 6-10 were not fun. I felt awful all the time. I never got sick I just felt like I had the worst hangover of my life. I have started talking naps when Laney does which I wish I didnt have to but I would crash at 4:00 pm if I didnt:/ I dont have any "cravings" yet, but I do enjoy sourish foods. Like salt and vinigar chips and sauerkraut. I loved sour stuff with Laney too I ate sauerkraut out of the jar with Lane! Gross I know:p I havent gained any weight yet although I feel like it! Laney doesnt really understand what is going on yet, I cant wait for her to have a sibling!

Laney is doing wonderful:) She is the sweetest girl I know! Her imagination is growing and she loves to play with me and Caleb:) She loves to read and play hide and seek. I could listen to that girl talk all day she says the funniest stuff! She is very serious too, she likes to bandage my "wings" and listen to my heart with her heartscope:) I cant think of what she sould be for Halloween though! I ask her all the time and she just giggles at my suggestions and says they are silly :p We are still working on potty training, she is not fond of the potty:/ but we will get there slowly but surely.

Well I am off to watch some TV until my man gets home:)

Daddy's girl

Laney could not be MORE like her dad and LESS like me in the music department. She has always loved any toys with music and she loves listening to music on our phones. The other night we were driving home and she asked for my phone and started listening to my music. I looked in the mirror and she was just looking out the window, I asked her what she was thinking about and she said "nothing just listening to music" eeeeee I was giggling to myself it was so sweet! We usually watch a show before bed and she just wanted to listen to music! It's unbelievable how she has the same interests as Caleb and I without influencing her. Caleb has always been really big into music and me not so much! I was a gymnast when I was a little girl, I usually didn't walk anywhere it was cartwheels or somersaults. No joke! Laney just found out that she can swing from things like she is on a bar. She loves flipping and "doing" handstands:) we are signing up for mommy and me gymnastics soon! I can't wait it will be at the gym that I used to go to:) She has also become really interested in singing:) I love it she will sing for anyone, it makes me so proud because she used to be such a shy girl.
